Prerequisites: NCEA Level 1 Te Reo Māori


This course builds on Level 1, extending students into te reo o te ao torotoro (the language of the wider world). Students develop their listening comprehension, spoken interaction, reading comprehension, written expression and creative writing skills in increasingly complex contexts.


Students are assessed on their ability to understand spoken reo Māori, speak using the language of the wider world, comprehend written texts, produce written reo Māori, and create imaginative written work across a range of topics and contexts.
