The Science of Mind and Behaviour
Prerequisites: None
At AS Level, candidates focus on twelve core studies. The core studies illustrate a wide range of research methods used in psychology, such as experiments, observations, self-reports and case studies.
These studies are viewed through the lens of four different approaches to psychology: biological, cognitive, learning and social. By exploring the relationship between the content of the study and the research methods, students will gain a broad understanding of how psychologists study experiences and behaviours, why the research took place, and the implications for individuals and society.
