Theoretical and Practical Chemistry

Prerequisites: IGCSE Extended Chemistry and IGCSE Extended Mathematics (if prerequisites are not met then admission to this course requires approval of the Curriculum Leader)

The AS Level course material is extensive and challenging, building on work from previous years.  Topics include:

• Kinetic theory

• Gas laws

• Thermochemistry

• Equilibria

• Inorganic and organic chemistry

Course material covers theory, practical aspects, everyday applications of chemistry, and environmental issues.
