DIGITAL MEDIA

Prerequisites: AS Level Digital Media (Grade C or above)

A2 builds on AS through a Personal Investigation, in which students undertake a sustained, self-directed project based on a chosen topic within digital media and photography. This fosters independence, creativity, and critical thinking.

Students will demonstrate independence, technical control, and a clear creative process from concept to final outcome. They will produce a cohesive body of work supported by critical written analysis, preparing them for further study in creative digital fields.

Component 3: Personal Investigation (100%)

Internally set, externally assessed by Cambridge.

No examination

Practical Portfolio – a resolved body of work demonstrating exploration, development, and a final outcome 

Written Analysis (1000–1500 words) – a structured reflection analysing the creative process and influences
